TOSHIBA Drivers
Finding the right driver for my laptop network card has been a nightmare. The Toshiba website, when you finally get to the driver page was useless. I downloaded the driver for the right model and did it work? Nope… but I had success surprisingly to me that the recovery CD for the laptop, reinstalled windows as well as the network driver however it also installed Norton and which I quickly got rid of.
The moral of this post is: If the drivers you download of the Toshiba website don’t work, use your recovery CD!
Thought I’d let you know..
My house got broke in to last night.
Someone forced there way though the kitchen window, hack sawed it or something, made so much noise that next door thought someone was cutting down a tree and called the police. They got in, went in to living room, nicked a 2007 shiny coin my mum was keeping, saw the keys and went out the same way.
The side lights came on and next door saw someone and then get in to my Dads Zafira, sped off and then the police showed up, knocked on the front door and asked my dad if anyone was using the car because it wasn’t on the drive.
Really pissed off because parents have a lot on and my sister I can imagine is being a little unhelpful and this isn’t what they need right now. Before all this the police new about a crashed Peugeot on one of the roundabout and they think someone was looking for a ride home.
Because they have the keys the insurance company is taking away the other car to get its locks changed and the house locked are being done too.
Just so pissed off how people can just do this. I blame the parents…
Uni
Well I’ve not beaten my record for not posting on my blog, I promised myself at Uni I would keep it up-to-date but in all fairness uni life is really busy. I’ve just finished week 4 tests for my core modules, I haven’t done as well as I expected to be but I really did not expect what to expect in the tests, if that makes sense I have another round of tests in 3/4 weeks so I’m hoping to do better.
The Saxo is still running around, I’m playing with the idea of getting rid of it as I’d prefer to divert my monies else where but I’m sure I’d miss the independence of a car too much.
I’m going now, I’m not going to write too much as I won’t have anything to update this blog with, Bye for now
A Few Changes
This post is more of a test, I have been doing odd bits to the main pages of the site and one of them is adding a feed on the main page which displays the last article posted in the blog so this post is just to see if it works.
There have been changes though, I have added my content display script and that is working perfectly, shame I don’t have any content to put on yet but I am working on that too, Its nothing much just information about me like my CV and other professional information.
As I have already talked about I’ve added a bit of PHP/SQL to read the database and I might develop upon this.
Thats all for now! 13 days!
17 Days
Its only been 4 months and 9 days since my last blog post, I’m not very good at keeping this up to date am I? but it is only 17 days until I move out of my home town and venture off to Staffordshire Uni!
I can’t wait! I have finished my job at Homebase and now just counting down the days and enjoying the rest of my summer.
But what about those 4 months, what’s happened in them? Well I have finished college scoring a very high grade of DDM, overall I got 320 UCAS points and I only needed 200. I have finally got my GCSE English after a lot of hard work. I also competed my web master project and the site is still live, the URL is even on a bus now I hear!
I have even spent 4 days at uni and enjoyed it more than I expected I would, I met a lot of great people who I will be seeing on the 16th.
